Bespoke furniture for churches

A lifelong interest in church architecture and furnishings has led me to specialise in designing and making church furniture. It is an endlessly fascinating subject, involving such considerations as respect for the surrounding architecture of the church, the scale of the space within it, and of course the style of worship. Above all comes the recognition that it is indeed a sacred space. The end result may be a bold one, but the approach must be made with care.

At first, I made several pieces for St Mary's Church, in my home town of Beaminster, West Dorset and subsequently in churches across the south of England, including work in Guildford Cathedral, Surrey, Romsey Abbey (Hampshire) and Ruxley Church, in West Ewell, Surrey.

My work as a designer and maker of church furniture can also be seen in parish churches across Wiltshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire, Essex and Kent.
