After twelve months of digging into the hillside, tons of reinforced concrete, acres of insulation, the frustrations of planning delays and the final joy of seeing it come to fruition, the new workshop (with its subterranean machine room at the back, and huge north-east light at the front) is up and running, and producing furniture.
In these pictures, the workshop is looking unusually tidy as I prepare to take part in Bridport & West Dorset Open Studios, with an exhibition of recently completed commissions for churches across the South of England.
