Here is an example of why designing church furniture really gives me a buzz – having the opportunity to place overtly modern furniture in an ancient church setting and see it blend with its surroundings. This nave altar is the first that I made with a semicircular shape – it picks up on the narrow Norman chancel arch just behind it. I have carried the same shape through into the lectern.
